We use cookies to make your experience on our website easier and better. Cookies are tiny text files that track new and returning visitors and allow us to understand how you use our website. They provide information that helps us make your next visit even better and more efficient.
For more information about cookies and what they do, visit Aboutcookies1.1 TYPES OF COOKIES
There are several different types of cookies based on their functionality:
1.1.1 ESSENTIAL OR STRICTLY NECESSARY COOKIES
These cookies are essential to the proper operation of our website, e.g. to enable access to secure areas of the website. Since they don’t record any personally identifiable information about visitors, we don’t require visitors’ consent to use them.
1.1.2 FUNCTIONAL COOKIES
These allow our website to remember your choices (such as your username, language and region) and deliver a better and more personalised experience. For instance, the website may use cookies to show you local weather forecasts or traffic news, remember your font, font size and other customisable preferences on the website, and provide the services you request, such as letting you watch a video or leave a comment. These cookies collect anonymised information and can’t track your browser activity on other websites.
1.1.3 PERFORMANCE COOKIES
Performance cookies collect information on how you use our website, such as the pages you visit most frequently and any errors you might get on those pages. These cookies do not collect any personally identifiable information. All the information collected by these cookies is aggregated and therefore completely anonymous. This information is only collected to improve the operation of the website.
1.1.4 THIRD-PARTY TARGETING OR ADVERTISING COOKIES
Advertising cookies are used to display ads that are more relevant to you and your interests. They’re also used to limit the number of times you see an ad as well as to help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. They’re usually placed on your computer by advertising networks with the website operator’s permission. They remember that you’ve visited a website and this information may be shared with other organisations such as advertisers. Quite often, targeting or advertising cookies will be linked to website functionalities provided by those other organisations.
