What's in the box?
All the playing pieces were sketched, 3D-modelled and prototyped.

Game Board
It’s what you play on! The game board is divided into 11 spaces on each side, for a total of 44. There are 9 different types of spaces: a Start space, Mining Pools, Power Plants, Opportunity spaces, Hacked spaces, Market Open and Market Closed spaces, Power Off spaces, and a Roll Again space. The Price Ring in the centre contains the Tower piece, which indicates the current price of Bitcoin. You can find out more about the various spaces and what they do on the How do you play it? page.
Playing Pieces
Cryptomania features 6 different playing pieces, each with its own unique backstory. Find out more about them on the Characters page!

Pack of secret task cards
At the start of the game, each player draws a Secret Task card.
1 Bitcoin Price Piece
The Tower piece moves around the Bitcoin Price Ring to indicate Bitcoin’s current price.

Pack of opportunity cards
You draw one of these cards when you land on an Opportunity space. Depending on your luck, you can either get an advantage or lose some of your hard-earned assets. For example, you might receive a pool reward or a 50% discount on graphics cards and ASICs, or you could be forced to skip a turn or suffer a hack and lose part or all of your Bitcoin!
30 Graphics cards
You draw one of these cards when you land on an Opportunity space. Depending on your luck, you can either get an advantage or lose some of your hard-earned assets. For example, you might receive a pool reward or a 50% discount on graphics cards and ASICs, or you could be forced to skip a turn or suffer a hack and lose part or all of your Bitcoin!

10 Asic Miners
Just like graphics cards, ASIC miners are used to mine cryptocurrencies. They are the final upgrade you can buy for your Mining Pools and can only be purchased with Bitcoin.
Mining Pool Cards
These are the cards for the Mining Pools. They contain information about the amount of fees to collect, how much a graphics card and ASIC miner costs, and how much you can borrow from the Exchange by pledging the Mining Pool as collateral.

4 Power plant cards
The Power Plant cards tell you what fee to charge other players when they land on your Power Plant or an adjacent Mining Pool, and how much you can borrow from the Exchange by pledging the Power Plant as collateral.
1 Pack Of Money and 42 Coins
Money is used to buy Mining Pools, Power Plants, upgrades and Bitcoin, and to pay fees, while each of these coins represents 1 Bitcoin. Unlike in the real world, where you can buy any fraction of a Bitcoin down to 1 Satoshi (0.00000001 BTC), you can only buy and sell whole Bitcoins in Cryptomania for simplicity’s sake.

2 Dice
These dice were made for rolling, and that’s just what they’ll do! You roll the dice to move around the board and move the Tower piece around the Bitcoin Price Ring.
